Itinerary
After breakfast in Arusha, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park, passing Maasai villages and open savannah landscapes. Upon arrival, enjoy a full game drive through a park famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.
The Tarangire River acts as a magnet for wildlife, especially during the dry season. Expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of bird species.
Lunch is enjoyed at a scenic picnic site inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Overnight: Lodge or tented camp near Tarangire

An early start takes you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the world-famous crater. This massive volcanic caldera is home to over 25,000 animals, making wildlife sightings exceptionally reliable.
You may encounter buffaloes, lions, elephants, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and with some luck, the endangered black rhino. The crater’s permanent water sources support wildlife year-round.
Lunch is served at a picnic site near a hippo pool before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu for overnight.

Your final safari day leads you to Lake Manyara National Park, set beneath the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment. Despite its small size, the park offers incredible biodiversity.
Explore dense groundwater forests inhabited by baboons and monkeys, open plains frequented by elephants, and the alkaline lake that attracts flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds. Lake Manyara is especially famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare and fascinating behavior.
After a final game drive and lunch, you’ll return to Arusha, marking the end of your safari adventure.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
